Kili Marti

I’ve spent the last 30 years coaching, mentoring, and guiding women from all around the world and all walks of life to realize their dreams in the mind-body and coaching industry. But it wasn’t until a client asked me to support her childbirth journey that I fully realize my purpose! That was six years ago and I’ve been doing birth work ever since. As your doula, I believe there is no “right” way to birth a baby, only your way. You can expect me to be compassionate and fully committed to your journey, with your goals in mind. I aspire to equip you with simple tools that invoke seemingly impossible change and guide you through the unknown until your baby arrives. My knowledge of anatomy and movement combined with my communication and inquiry skills help me to recognize the physical, emotional, and mental cues associated with the birth process and the ever changing and layered experiences of expectant and postpartum people. Whether it’s preparing your body and mind for “the push,” supporting the dynamic changes and responses to labor, or guiding the journey back to your body after birth, I’m here for you. My goal is to meet you wherever you are and to make sure you are heard and able to express your birth or body philosophy from a place of confidence and strength. As a mother of three, I’ve built my family and career on the principle that the journey through life doesn’t have to be uphill. This deep interconnectedness of mind, body, and family flows through my doula philosophy, attuning each client to the unique melody of their own body and empowering them to bring each note into harmony. If I’m not working with clients, you can catch me spending time with my family, geeking out on anatomy, movement, and all things child-birth. Or you might find me dancing, playing on my Pilates reformer, creating a new yoga flow, running through the great outdoors, or chillin with my two dogs.

Kili’s Testimonials

“Kili provided me with incredible support and guidance for the birth of my first child. She helped me figure out what was important for my birth experience without pushing her ideas on me. During the birth, Kili was there every step of the way to help provide physical and emotional support and comfort. After the birth, I struggled with anxiety and Kili continued to guide me to get the help that I needed to return to health. I am so grateful to have had such a thoughtful and caring person at my side through my transition into motherhood.”

“I loved working with Kili as my Doula, she was always so supportive of me and guided me through my birth plan. I ended up needing a planned C-Section and I was so disappointed and she really supported me and my emotions as I processed the change in my birth plan. She supported me after my birth as well, she called, texted to check up on me and making sure I was okay. When most people are about the baby (they are so cute, I get it) Kili was there to support me and what I needed.”

“As doula you prepared me for the journey ahead by creating space to ask questions, reflect on expectations, and explore all possibilities. In labor and delivery you looked me in the eye and read what was unspoken, answering my needs with compassion and calm.”

“Kili’s calming presence at the birth of our daughter in 2011 is something my husband and I will never forget. With her gentle encouragement and nurturing spirit, she helped us both stay focused, strong and positive. We were honored and blessed to have her on our birth team.”

“Having Kili present before, during, and after the birth of my second child provided both myself and my husband an immeasurable amount of support and comfort. Her knowledge and expertise helped to guide me to make the best possible decisions for myself during the birthing process. I wouldn’t want to experience another birth without Kili by my side.”

“Kili was extremely thorough and helpful in preparing me physically, emotionally and mentally for birth. And after birth. Her communication was clear, loving and direct. She took verbal and physical cues very well and I really loved how she guided me through breath work. She was my rock.”

“Working with Kili made me confident in expressing myself during my birth experience. I was able to vocalize my preferences with strength and comfort.”

“After struggling with my body after the birth of my second child, Kili reminded me of all it did and gave me. Which I desperately needed to hear during my postpartum recovery.”

“Kili is a master of anatomy, but more importantly she knows how to convey what to do and when to do it while you’re distracted by birthing pangs.  She has an emotional and physical awareness of what is needed to support both parents through what can sometimes be a long process.”
